Who WE Are

Dire Company Meadery is a small-batch, high-impact meadery based currently in Lincolton, NC.

Rooted in bold flavors and medieval-fantasy storytelling, our meads are handcrafted using traditional fermentation techniques, locally sourced honey and fruit, and a strong creative vision built from years of R&D and test batches.

Inspired by long hours of gaming and camaraderie around the table, rolling dice and exploring the wilds of Tamriel, Dire Company is literally what happens when a fantasy tale meets reality and drive.

Philosophy of “the company”

Each flavor profile is crafted with a distinct identity, named after characters and legends from the world of The Dire Company—a mercenary band forged in fantasy.

Each bottle feels like a relic of a living saga. Every conversation sparked over a glass is an extensions of that story.

Mindfully balanced flavor

Our meads are designed not only for casual sipping but to pair with food—often inspired by medieval, rustic, or wildcrafted cuisines. From the smoky, steak-worthy Helgate to the dark, spicy allure of Black Samhain, each recipe balances fruit, spice, tannin, and acidity with culinary precision.

Community-Driven & Rooted Locally

With aims to grow with our community our early partnerships are with like-minded local businesses. As we scale, we plan to retain that same grounded, people-first ethic in every facet of the company.

From the local farms we source our fruits and honey, to the welcoming cheer when someone enters our Hall, Dire Company looks to form bonds that feed and invest in the communities we live in.
